Jubilant Corporation has emerged as one of the leading private
sector players in the Oil & Gas Exploration and Production
(E&P) segment in India. The corporation has been in the
E&P business for the last thirteen years and has successfully
bid for the development of the proven field at Kharsang in Arunachal
Pradesh by teaming up with a Consortia in production-sharing
contract where, post its takeover, oil production registered
a major increase. This oil field was awarded in 1995, wherein
Jubilant holds the operatorship rights for the oilfield through
a 50:50 JV with GeoPetrol.
Today Jubilant, part of the consortium of partners, which comprises
experienced and financially strong companies, has been awarded
six blocks. In three of these blocks Jubilant has operating
rights. Jubilant has multidisciplinary geo technical team, experienced
management and commitment of international consultant teams
which bring more Indian E&P experience than available in
any single country.
The E&P business team is constantly engaged in identifying
high prospect offshore and on-shore fields for investment in
collaboration with leading players in the oil sector. The E&P
team for this project comprises senior and experienced members
with strong academic qualifications. The team's combined experience
lies foremost in operations and management in the Oil and Gas
sector in India. In addition the team members have technical
expertise in well site geology, seismic interpretation and monitoring
of large public sector oil production sites. Amongst the partners
there is expertise in the acquisition, processing and interpretation
of both 2-D and 3-D seismic data in many basins of the world,
including Canada, Spain, Peru, USA, Nigeria, Yemen, Chile and
India which would serve to maximize returns.
